![]() The Standard presets provide classic piano tones from concert grands to detuned upright bar pianos that can be used as starting points to dial in the perfect tone, while the Processed presets give easy access to a handful of ready-to-go grand piano tones with compression already applied. Nearly 90 presets in three main categories: Standard, Processed, and Experimental. The preset library on Arturia Piano V2 is massive. I’ll start at the top and work my way down. Featuresįrom top to bottom, Arturia Piano V2 packs a ton of awesome features into its expansive interface. Overall, an extremely attractive setup with one-touch access to all of the most common controls. There is also a CPU meter and a multi-core toggle button. Sitting at the bottom of the window are a full-sized piano roll, gain/output control, three pedal control buttons, polyphony, undo/redo and MIDI channel controls. The top bar contains one-click access to an enormous preset library, which expands to include filters and favorites to easily recall your favorite settings, as well as a nifty MIDI mapping feature.Īll the standard controls are available at a glance, with tons more functionality hidden in the slide-out controls. I have no doubts that Arturia’s piano plugin will be an impressive product, but the question remains whether it will retain its value at two to five times the retail price of the other options? Once the transfer is complete, you've completed the two-phase update.įinally, to take full advantage of the update, you should also send the new Factory preset from V5 to your MicroFreak. Please click on OK to transfer the factory samples library inside the MicroFreak. This is the second phase of the update for this firmware V5 of MicroFreak. The update will move on to the second phase, with the MCC reopening and a new pop-up window about the transfer of samples appearing on screen. Once the firmware update is complete, please do not unplug the MicroFreak. Once the MCC has updated by itself, and that your MicroFreak is connected to your computer, you'll be notified that a new firmware update is available. If you have already installed the MCC, it will automatically update to the latest version. If you haven't already installed the MIDI Control Center (MCC), please download it from the Arturia Downloads and Manuals page. Please keep your MicroFreak ON and connected throughout the entirety of the two phases of the update, until the full update is complete. In the second phase, the factory samples will be transferred to your MicroFreak. Then, the MIDI Control Center will reconnect to start the second phase. First, your MicroFreak will be updated to firmware V5. Before moving on, please note that the update to Firmware V5 is a two-part update.
